Eleni Kalabakou has a PhD in Constitutional Law from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

 

Her doctoral thesis treats the concept of  state religious neutrality under the principle of pluralism, with emphasis on the rights of religious minorities.

 

She has worked as a lawyer in refugee law and has done research and published papers on this field, as well as in minority rights and racist crime.

She speaks English, French and Italian.
